Along the under water cliff off Lumahai Beach at about 30 feet deep, lives a very odd fish! I first saw it sitting on an old pink slipper. I did not think it was even a fish! It looked like a purple piece of plastic or a floating flower. When I got close I discovered it was a leaf scorpionfish! I have seen many of these fish in the past but they were brown or white in color. This one looked like psychedelic sign out of the 1960's. This fish will not swim but it walks using its fins as feet. Don't touch one as they have poisonous spines on their backs. I saw this fish on several dives and even took some friends out to see it. Very cool critter!
